According to the PL, the vehicle must be parked on the edge of the field, track, court or pool during the activities of athletes in the professional or youth category. Ambulance service will be mandatory only in places where at least 30 athletes are active.

The PL also provides for the mandatory presence of at least one heart defibrillator in the treatment center.

“Although there is, for the most part, a medical team and equipment for emergency care, we are often faced with the lack of a vehicle for immediate transport to a better equipped hospital, which can make the difference in avoiding prolongation of injuries. and even the death of athletes.” justified Macedo.

If the standard is not met, the sports center can be fined between 4,300 and 21,600 rials (1,000 and 5,000 UFIR-RJ). The money collected will be given to S Special Fund of the Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Funesbom).
